With heavy hearts, we have recently shared that our West Virginia camp location and all its programming will be closing. This wasn’t an easy call—we’ve poured countless hours into finding ways to keep this special place alive. But unrelenting water damage, beyond our capacity to repair with excellence, and a shortage of hands to make the camp safe and operational have led us to this tough moment. West Virginia has been a cornerstone of ROYAL’s story—a home where friendships were forged, growth took root, and memories were etched into our hearts. To every camper, parent, and family who joined us here, we’re deeply grateful. Your presence and support have been a gift we’ll always treasure.

A Truth That Shapes Us: Jesus’ Death and Resurrection

While this is an end of an era having West Virginia as our homebase, our mission remains the same—to show kids their precious identity in Jesus while fueling their passion for action sports. That mission has been shaped by a truth that changes everything: God with us. We believe the historical event of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection reveals God’s heart for us—His royal kids. He gave His only Son to die so we could live, an exchange of His life for ours that we choose to embrace now and every day. This isn’t just a one-time swap; it’s a spiral of construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction. Jesus’ life shows us that pain and loss aren’t the end—He’s with us in every beautiful, painful, glorious, and disappointing moment, using those very struggles to transform us into full, vibrant life.

Our current season echoes this spiral. The West Virginia camp was a time of construction—a place we built to show kids their identity in Jesus through action sports. Now, its closure is a deconstruction, a painful letting go as damage and limitations force us to release what we’ve held dear. Yet, we see God’s hand in this, turning loss into reconstruction. We’re not abandoning our mission—we’re launching ROYAL Mobile Camps! This shift takes us beyond one broken location, and into action sport communities nationwide. Like Jesus’ resurrection, what seems like an end is a new beginning, a chance to reach more kids and families with the truth of their worth.
