Ed Bugg

If asked, Ed will tell you he just works here, but don’t let him fool you! He serves as ROYAL’s Executive Director over the programs in West Virginia. His skill for incredible intentionality and resounding focus toward reaching goals drives our team toward completing our mission in a way that serves everyone involved. Along with his wife and two kiddos, he resides in Hickory, NC.

Kate Freeman

Kate is our WV Special Ops Soldier! She is known for her work in the shadows - mastering our software, database, and overall administration. You have likely interacted with Kate when you call or email ROYAL. She values legendary service, and strives to go above and beyond to share the love of Jesus through her work! Residing in the great state of Texas, she enjoys epic campaigns of Dungeons & Dragons, watching (definitely not playing) spooky video games, or going camping with her husband Kyle and son Isaac.

Tim Davis

Timothy wears a lot of hats at the moment, but he’s super passionate about people, casting vision and bringing change. “Dream it and build it!” What better platform to have then to join the Father where He’s working, and also getting to do it with some of your best friends. He stays excited about all the things still to come at ROYAL. When you can’t find Timothy on-site he is most likely doing one of his other passions, riding motorcycles or doing interior design.

Brandon Heidemann

Coming from a background of pro motocross racing, he followed God’s invitation into action sports ministry in 2002, and started ROYAL in 2005. Brandon is crazy about ROYAL because he gets to be around all of his favorite things: action sports, his ultra talented team, the most incredible playground, and gets to share what it means to be a child of the King of the Universe with thousands of kids, young and old!

Kim Heidemann

Kim is our Camp Mom! She loves having the honor of caring for ROYAL staff and camp kids anyway she is able. Even though she is essentially everyone’s mom, she also has two kids of her own: Brooke and Brandon, and their superhero dad in Heaven. She has a home in Buena Vista, CO, but rents it out anytime she goes to WV for camp!

Dustin Duenas

Dustin is an insurance agent in New Mexico and Captain of Camp ROYAL Seal Team. He loves Jesus and finds his greatest friendships and connections while talking about Him. He loves helping others succeed by being a good ear, leading with his actions, and through digital content creation. Camp ROYAL has become one of his greatest passions and something that he promotes every opportunity that he gets!

Rob Meeker

Rob serves as our Risk Management Officer, and lives in Colorado with his sons William and Michael and his Daughter, Princess Opal. He has over twenty years as an outdoor guide and educator, during which he owned and ran Backcountry Adventures Unlimited, which specialized in guiding customized family adventures.
