Cody Flom has been part of ROYAL since the very beginning, and his journey with us has been nothing short of inspiring. Year after year, Cody has poured his heart into our campers, sharing his wealth of knowledge about the action sports realm and embodying the spirit of ROYAL in everything he does. Now, we’re honored to have Cody step into the role of GTL (Guide Team Leader) at our West Virginia site for the full 2025 summer!
What is a Guide Team Leader (GTL) and Why It’s Vital to Our Program
At the heart of every transformative camp experience lies a Guide Team Leader (GTL). This pivotal role is not just a position but a calling—a calling to lead with love, courage, and authenticity while reflecting ROYAL’s values and mission. The GTL is the anchor of camp life, influencing every camper, counselor, volunteer, and parent who walks through the camp gates.
Building ROYAL Identity
As the Lead role at camp, the GTL’s highest purpose is to guide all attendees to understand their God-given value and embrace their ROYAL identity as co-heirs with Christ. The GTL listens for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, helping shape a generation of courageous, spiritually-grounded youth. This is not about perfection but about leading authentically—sharing from the real fruit of their personal season with Jesus. With Cody’s faith, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence, we couldn’t be more excited to see him take on this vital role.
