Looking Back (With a Huge Smile)

Since 2005, God has used ROYAL to create powerful experiences through camps, action sports, mentorship, and community. We’ve watched kids grow in confidence, form lasting friendships, and—most importantly—discover their true identity in Jesus. We are deeply grateful for every family, volunteer, supporter, camper, and athlete who has been part of this journey.

A New Chapter for ROYAL

As we pour everything we have into developing a brand-new project designed specifically for our Camp ROYAL families and athletes, we will be placing all of our current programs on pause for a season, because this is going to take “All Hands On Deck!”

While this pause feels difficult, we believe with all our hearts that where God is taking us - the cumulative answer to the Ephesians 3:20 prayers we have been lifting up at 3:20pm every single day for years.

Pulling Back the Arrow

The mission is NOT ending. Pulling back the arrow gives us a chance to intentionally pause, prepare, and lock in on the target that God has already put in our sights. (Little sneak peek—what we are working on will look and feel SO much like where we started, but on a much grander scale…) While things may grow quieter publicly, our team will be hard at work behind the scenes—planning, building, and listening closely to the Lord for each step. After all, if He is not the One building it, we don’t want it.

Change is Hard

Change always brings mixed emotions. There is sadness in stepping away from familiar rhythms and programs we love so much, but there is also deep excitement and anticipation for what God is about to do. Have you ever seen the picture of Jesus asking the little girl to give up her little teddy bear while He holds a giant one behind His back? Letting go of our WV properties and pausing programming feels a lot like that, but what is coming is better than what has been.

Locked In

One thing that will never change is ROYAL’s foundation: Understanding and living out our TRUE IDENTITY, as Jesus defines it. No one paid more of a price for this mission to be accomplished than He did and He is our faithful guide -every season - whether loud and visible or quiet and behind the scenes. We are moving forward full of hope, confident that God is preparing something extraordinary ahead.

We are so thankful for every single person who has walked with us. We can’t wait to share more as this new vision begins to take shape. Will you please commit to praying for us? For wisdom, patience, strength, favor and provision? Just as it has always been, we can’t do this without you and in the end, our Father gets all of the Glory - while we get to enjoy Him.
